When was Hans Egstorf founded?

Since 1898 and originating from the belle époque this art nouveau corner building at Spuistraat 274 remains one of Amsterdam’s oldest active brick and mortar bakeries. Generations of bakers have practised their craft before us and  we are very proud to share the love and passion our bakers have with so many people around the world.

Where is the bakery located?

The oldest bakery in Amsterdam is located on Spuistraat 274. The canals and the Royal Palace on Dam square are just a stone throw away. Don’t forget to check out the other locations spread throughout Amsterdam.

What is the recipe of Stroopwafels?

The recipe that our bakers use to make the fresh Stroopwafels in our bakery is based on dates back to 1840. The pre-packed Stroopwafels are made with a adjusted recipe to ensure the taste and freshness as long a possible. The ingredients can be found on the packages and the product pages on our website. Are Stroopwafels vegan?

Stroopwafels contain ingredients as butter and eggs, therefore they are not vegan. We do have Stroopwafels that are gluten free and Lactose-free.

Will my Stroopwafels arrive fresh?

A Pre-packaged stroopwafel has a best before date of 5 months from the moment of shipment. You can extend their shelf life by freezing them. With your delivery, you will receive a flyer with tips on how to store and reheat the stroopwafels to fully enjoy their authentic flavor
